Magazine Reside Specs

• BLEED: The excess image area that must pass the “trim” dimensions to assure your image will flow over all sides. Objects outside the bleed or slug area (whichever extends farthest) are not printed (9.25 in x 11.125 in).
• TRIM: Final size of your magazine, it should be set to 9 in x 10.875 in.
• LIVE AREA: The area where your main typographic elements should be within to ensure they will not be cut off in the trimming process. (8.5 in x 10.375 in)

*Magazine is perfect bound, we recommend to set 0.75 inches on the inside margin, and be sure to keep ALL TEXT AND IMPORTANT GRAPHIC ELEMENTS within the live area.

How to submit/upload your gallery pages:

Creating PDF files:

• Files must be submitted in PDF/X-1a format
• All fonts MUST be embedded
• We require single page PDFs for each ad
• The color space must be CMYK or Grayscale. No RGB, LAB or embedded color profiles (such as ICC profiles). All PMS and spot colors MUST be converted to CMYK (In InDesign, select “All Spots to Process” in the Ink Manager).
• All transparent objects must be flattened at a high resolution
• For crop marks, registration marks and/or color bars they need to be placed OUTSIDE of the bleed dimensions. (set crop off set to 0.125 in)
• Resolution: 300 dpi for all images
