Kadence

Kadence is an eight-seat Michelin-star sushi and
sake bar. Reservations are sold online, similar to
booking seats at a concert, which is appropriate as
the experience is more than just a meal. It’s theater.
There is no menu. But don’t worry—guests are
in expert hands. Chef-Owners Mark and Jennifer
Berdin (both semifinalists for James Beard’s “Best
Chef: South”) create the multicourse tasting menu
each morning, based upon ingredients in season.
While serious about honoring traditional Japanese
cuisine, they also want to make sure guests
leave feeling like they spent the last few hours
celebrating, intoxicated by world-class sushi and,
if so desired, a little sake. The 14-seat Izakaya bar
in back is perfect for corporate events, Super Bowl
parties and other celebrations.
